The Basswood Tree is also known as an American Linden. This tree produces delicate green and white blooms each year in early summer. Our current supply comes to you from central Michigan.

Flavor Profile

Basswood honey has a rich golden color and a bold fruity flavor with a hint of lime at the end. One customer enthused: “This basswood is excellent. It is one of the exotics right up there with Tupelo and Sourwood.”

Suggested Uses

Dried linden flowers are a popular herbal tea and a traditional home remedy for coughs and colds. Raw honey has some of the same beneficial pollen and phytonutrients that are found in these flowers, making basswood honey a good choice for upper respiratory wellness care.
