This Raw Manuka Honey comes from New Zealand. Manuka Honey is collected with care from the down-under native Manuka trees. New Zealand has over 80 Manuka species within its native remote forests, including the same native Leptospermum scoparium species that is found in New Zealand. This diverse environment allows for the highest quality Manuka Honey production. This honey is imported directly from the New Zealand suppliers who take pride in producing only the highest quality products. Our New Zealand Manuka Honey 600+ is cool processed (raw) and independently tested so it is guaranteed to have a MG (methylglyoxal) rating of 600mg/kg.
Raw means it has undergone less processing making it higher in healthy enzymes and retaining a distinctive flavor. It has been tested as MGO600+. Methylglyoxal or MGO is the naturally occurring compound that makes Manuka honey so special.
Raw honey has been processed less than conventional honey. It has not been stirred for long periods or heated above normal hive temperature. Independent research shows that it has more than double the amount of healthy enzymes than conventionally processed honey.
Single-source honey comes from only one site and is not blended with honey from other locations like most commercial raw manuka honey. This captures the distinctive floral sources and retains the unique flavor and properties of that location.
