Description
What is White Hawaiian Honey?
Kiawe Honey is widely prized across the island of Hawaii and beyond. It is made from the nectar of the mesquite trees that have naturalized on the beaches of the Kona Coast. Endulge in this tropical delicacy and bring the laid back island life to your own kitchen.
What does Kiawe Honey taste like?
The taste of Kiawe Honey is evenly sweet with hints of powdered sugar, and a delicate mesquite finish. It’s a perfect match for toast, strawberries and cream, or as we often say – right by the spoonful. This is crystallized spreadable honey with an exceptionally creamy texture that melts in your mouth.
Each jar is labeled with the harvest date of 06/19/23, location of South Kohala, and limited jars of 4200 produced.
Where does this White Kiawe Honey come from?
Big Island Moonbow Farms is a small-scale beekeeping venture located on Hawai’i Island. Inspired by the plight of the honeybee in Hawai’i and worldwide, they have been caring for honeybees in an organic fashion since 2011.
While their primary focus is the health and well-being of the bees, their diverse apiary locations allow them to capture several of the unique nectar sources the island has to offer. With immense passion, and the combined efforts of their family and the bees, they provide Wai Meli, an array of small harvest, local, raw honey. Aloha!
